Lessons from the Artist, His Canvas, the Sun, and the Son.

I think I fall in love with the Sun every time I watch a sunrise and sunset. It whispers of new mercies and grace that the Son graces on every human every day. His mercies are on those who see it and those who don't.

I love being in Jordan. The place of this picture now specifically hosts many memories for me, especially with this special girl!

My sister and I got to enjoy camp at this beautiful place for a week, enjoying the weather, the people, the sermons, the songs, and the great conversations bringing growth and glory to the Son. So much to  be grateful for. So much to learn.

I. Love. Home.
I. Love. Friends.
I. Love. the. Sun.
.and. its. Colors.
I. Love. the. Artist.
.and. His. Canvas.
I. Love. the. Son.
.and. His. Sacrifice.

.Learning His Amazing Grace.

Visiting a Graveyard

About two weeks ago, I had the chance to visit my aunt's and grandma's graves, something I've never done before. Having never met either of them, I was glad to be able to do this. Not only that, but my mom said somethings that made me think....we should all visit the graveyard every once in a while, to learn the lessons about life from those who are now dead.

Visiting a Graveyard

Dear Living Sir or Madaam,

It's been a while since you looked down beneath your feet to where lifeless buried bodies and bones lie. Seems like your hundred dollar bills and blood pressure pills keep your eyes glued to the Mirror. It's time you looked down and learned a lesson from the dead.

Look over there.
Proud and Poor. See that lady over there.
Lived in rags all her life, yet took pride in every breath bringing life to her green-blue eyes and perfectly curved waist.

Living for what dies stole joy out of this life. Buried in rags, but rich in pride brought me deep into my grave and only made my earthly heart satisfied. Now what shall an eternally poor soul do?
What eternal blessing can I steal?
Someone help this poor soul....
I'll trade my pride...for some eternal prize....
Some unending Goal.

Poverty and Pride
Neither ever kept a man alive.

Family and Love?
There lie 6 graves side by side...

It's all about you, isn't it!?

This might take a moment. And a moment it took until they saw who was here.

" Who are you and what do you want? Go live, and walk away from the dead...but don't love...4 kids, one spouse...yet all our love failed in storing any eternal joy. Died all in 5 minutes time...one car crash in one moment...yet here we are wondering what our love for each other ever did. What should we do now?

Go live....don't love...don't hate...
Go search for something that won't die...when your next breath is forever late.

Money and Pride
Family and Love
Non of it come after death on the other side

Go to the dead and hear what they say.

Neither Joy, Nor tears
Money nor beers
Family nor friends
what he or she spends
could ever make the living one satisfied.

Joy and Hope
The Cross and the Spear
Salvation
And Christ standing near

All remain...no matter where the body is, among the living or the dead.

Visit the dead, and learn before it's too late...
For who knows whats to come.
Your turn might come next.
Or maybe not yet.

Go learn from the dead.
And live sowing what knows neither life nor death.
Live for eternity.

Sincerely,
The Graveyard Keeper

Take #2 {in} The Blogging World

I'm not particularly new to the blogging world (http://a-faith-worth-suffering-for.tumblr.com/) but it's a while since I've made some blog changes and actually posted things, so I decided its about time. Thanks to my friend Julie Hood's inspiration I'm hoping to blog again! So here it goes!
